Fife / Pierce County Bulk Trash Pickup
The City of Fife contracts Murrey’s Disposal (a Waste Connections company) for residential garbage and recycling.
Fife’s annual cleanup is the Murrey’s Disposal Spring Cleanup, typically held in late April. On your regular pickup day during cleanup week, Murrey’s collects:
- Up to three 32-gallon bags of trash (45 lb max per bag)
- Up to three 32-gallon biodegradable bags of yard waste
- One major appliance on a separate appliance pickup day (typically a Saturday in early May)
Eligible appliances: range, refrigerator, freezer, dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, hot water tank, trash compactor, microwave, BBQ, or AC unit.
Not accepted at the Spring Cleanup: tires, car parts, furniture, mattresses, bulky items, and any appliance beyond the one-per-household allowance.
That’s a tight program — the limits exclude most of what calls to a junk-removal service are actually about. Outside the spring cleanup week, options are a transfer-station run (Hidden Valley in South Hill is closest, per-ton fees), a paid bulk pickup arranged through Murrey’s, or a call.
