Fircrest / Pierce County Bulk Trash Pickup
Fircrest is served by Westside Disposal, the same family-run hauler that’s been handling Fircrest since 1942.
Westside offers Fircrest residents a free curbside bulky pickup — up to 5 items per pickup, 2 pickups per household per year. Account must be in good standing. Items go to the curb by 7am on pickup day (no earlier than 5pm the night before).
Per-item limits: – No single item over 300 lbs – No item larger than 4 feet × 8 feet × 3 feet – Refrigerators and freezers must be emptied and duct-taped shut (compressor decommissioning fee applies) – Power yard equipment must have oil, fuel, and batteries removed
Accepted: washers, dryers, ovens, water heaters, refrigerators (with compressor fee), exercise equipment, furniture meeting the size limits, rolled carpet (≤6 ft × 1 ft diameter).
Not accepted: glass tables, mirrors, glass cabinet doors, home improvement materials, electronics, riding mowers, hazardous waste.
All items must be identified when you schedule — no add-ons after the booking. The 5-item-twice-a-year program is generous compared to most cities, but the home-improvement / electronics / glass exclusions are where most renovation and tech-cleanup calls fall outside it. For those — or for an unscheduled “right now” pickup — Westside’s program won’t cover it.
