A South Hill Pocket in Transition
Lipoma Firs is named for the former Lipoma Firs Golf Course — a 27-hole course that opened in 1989 and closed in November 2017, off the Meridian E corridor in the South Hill plateau area of unincorporated Pierce County (10410 187th St E, Puyallup).
After the course closed, the land was sold for housing development, and the area is now transitioning into new single-family subdivisions on what used to be fairways. The identity is in flux — historically known as a golf-course community, now defined more by new-build tract housing. Smaller-scale than the master-planned Sunrise community next door, but on the same South Hill plateau.
Hoss in Lipoma Firs
Single-family homes, real driveways, decent garage space — Lipoma Firs is straightforward to service. Most calls are new-construction debris from the ongoing build-out, downsizing, post-renovation hauls, and the occasional hot tub.
